Looks like I'm going to need about 40 pounds. Email me for details. Later, Matsiman User_Name: Matsiman MessagesZiQuinn, nothing wrong with us. It's the rest of the world needs to get thier priorities together. The hunt is on!!!!! Later, Matsiman User_Name: ZiQuinn MessagesHere I am, driving 150 miles to look for a possible mushroom, a life just above alge, and pounding my chest because I can't wait to tell someone about it when I find some. Actually, I could have wasted maybe a 1/4 tank of gas and bought some right here in river city. Tell me someone, "What the hell is wrong with us."??? User_Name: bcboy69 Messageshello just wondering if anything is happening in nakusp british columbia for pines and chantys going out mid sept thanks User_Name: ZiQuinn MessagesAugust, all tho I said Pink, I meant Yellow... Just getting old I guess. As to carbon foot prints, Just think, for $47.00, the Clean air Authority will let you burn your trash. How does giving them $47.00 do anything to clean the air, when the purpose is to let you burn..?? Also, why do we have a "Clean Air Authority", when we already have a "E.P.A."?? Isn't the air part of the environment?? It isn't easy being me and to get old on top of that makes me ask silly questions... Don User_Name: A" MessagesSorry for not getting back to you, Mommas baby. I would like to talk to you and your other half sometime time soon before the season is over. One day it starts slow then picks up and then we say what happen and it's snowing!. I bet uncle Don was there with the carbon peeps?. Things are slow here and it's still early for the yellows, But they did start really early this year and what ever comes up early is just extra cash in hand to buy more carbon gas to reless back in to the fresh air up high in the wood's with pink dots on yellow chanty's that uncul Don said he found. User_Name: A" MessagesToon in, Turn on, But don't eat the pink ones are you well drop out if you don't drop in first. stay turn for moreL episode. By the way thanks for the spill check puzzled in oz. User_Name: puzzledmattie MessagesA...we never made it to that patch as we found so many more new ones. Chanites are popping everywhere..should be good and plenty in the next week. Chicken of the woods...are all over the place, too...it was great...the chickens were mostly very tender..went camping in our car with the attachable tent...that was fun...except in the middle of night someone came along and tryed ripping us off..they got off with a camp chair was all..Amazing Mazy, the puggle..let them know she was awake and off they took...sleaze balls...wondered why we were the only ones in this nice campground..now we know..to much illegal stuff going on...lots of traffic between midnight and three in the morning and no cell service...great road to pick on thought just stay somewhere else. No one seems to be buying in Forks yet...heard no one was...don't know..Bear Creek buyer had no sign out either... User_Name: A" MessagesMattie, have you found any hucks and how is the new chanty patch? User_Name: shroomkid MessagesHello all, noticing the Boletus are fruiting right now. B. barrowsii in a few lawns under decidous trees, and some Leccinum under a birch I know. that rain and the cooler nights is relly helping. is there a good market for kings and queens? $$? i have a spot up-Island that produces good every year jsut about. Full buckets, sk User_Name: Lone Lobo Messagesjulietorell; depending upon which side of the cascades you are on... I personally would recommend visiting the Randle or Mount Adams Ranger district offices for the areas of the Gifford Pinchot that seem to attract the most huck buyers and foragers.... there are areas specifically reserved for free use picking and for the Native Americans and it is wise to know the rules for where you are when picking and obtain your permit for commercial and or free use picking.... I have purchased hucks from one individual who gets what he calls a hybrid blueberry-huckleberry of larger than usual size. ........ expect to find buyers in both Randle & Trout Lake, possibly BZ Corner and west of Trout Lake past the Ranger Station at the junction. ...... good luck User_Name: puzzledmattie MessagesSorry Julie, can't help you on that..We just go pick them and freeze them for our own use. Those are August's stomping grounds, so maybe he could help you more.. User_Name: julietorell MessagesPuzzledmattie, I read in the paper that huckleberry season is starting today in the Gifford-Pinchot Forest. Do you know who buys these? Are there buyers on site near the woods like with mushroom season? User_Name: puzzledmattie MessagesWe're here..went out west before the rains and did a lot of looking around..didn't find any thing, it was sooo dry it was scary. It has been raining so we are giving it a soak and hope that next week it will produce something..how's things looking for you? Huckleberries getting ready to pick yet? User_Name: Madmorel MessagesMattie, where are you?. Carla, where are you and where is the coffee?. Hmmm glowing in the dark? something NEW? User_Name: Matsiman Messageskingmorel, never seen an orange morel, especially not an orange king! That calls for a pic. Have ya started glowing in the dark yet? Later, Matsiman User_Name: cap'n MessagesShroomkid. Pick your chickn earlier when its tender. User_Name: shroomkid MessagesG'day gang, Anyone got a recipe or two for chicken-of-the-woods? And how to actually prepare it so it's edible? I have a bunch fruiting right now at home, and have only tried to make something with it once a couple years ago. The mushroom part of the dish was really tough. Thanks, sk. User_Name: kingmorel MessagesI'm turing orange. fresh, frozen and dried lobsters..... :^o User_Name: A" MessagesZiQuinn,I have been looking at it for some and to and what I have been seeing it would take a very wet spring to keep from drying up so late in the season. It's would be hard to get in to because of gates that are lock up tell june. already planning for three mushroom Forays next spring. If you have some patch's of Chantei's go look for some, I have been finding them for the last five week's now. Go to mushroomhunters.org. I have pic's on there board.
